Should bishop eddie long be disqualified for the title of bishop?

I'm not sure anyone gave it to him did they? Don't the Bishops that aren't in a Catholic or Episcopal or Methodist church, don't they just start calling themselves that when they get to feeling too big to be just a preacher?
